Scotch Plain Spring

Down reliable I87 in astonishing 30C heat to Stefan's place again.  Between our GPS and some maps, managed to find yet another route through the wilds of NJ, arriving in plenty of time for a gala Mother's Day feast at Yokohama-Mama's.  Dubbing itself an Hibachi restaurant that also serves Sushi, it features horseshoe-shaped tables that surround hot griddles upon which the chefs whip up all sorts of treats right before your eyes, amid bursts of Saki-fed flames.  I enjoyed delicious scallops and got to see fried-rice actually bring fried.

Well fed, we returned to Stef's to get caught up on the doings of the grand-kids and their parents before a good night's sleep.

Riot of flowers on Stef's Rhododendron bush

Pretty!
