Amorgos

Sailed in middling-rough seas to Amorgos, a pretty little place, in time for an after-dinner excursion by bus up to the capitol of Chora.  No vehicles are allowed in the center of the old town.  We strolled the tiny streets as the locals ate at the little cafes and tavernas.  Home to many artists, the island’s shops feature unique hand-made jewelry and decorations.  The Meltemi was in full song again, the wind whistling by the buildings above the sheltered streets.  Cute when ashore, but providing a rough night at sea as we moved on to our next stop.
