Exeter

Easy morning exploring the medieval town of Fowey and it's lovely, natural harbour.

Moving along, we went next to 17th century castle Lanhydrock, the usual stately manor with lovely grounds.

Finally, it was time to leave Cornwall for our overnight stay in Exeter, the furthest West that the Romans bothered to build an outpost in Britain.  A lovely, one-hour walking tour led by a red-coated Exeter-man brought us back to the hotel in time for one last gourmet supper with the group.

On to London and Southampton tomorrow.
