Soldiered on up the unexciting I95 from Florence (where it got to 82F today) through the rest of South Carolina, North Carolina and finally, Virginia. South Carolina roads are very clean, no doubt helped by the $1,000 fine AND prison term for littering. North Carolina, which doesn't offer the same inducements, suffers somewhat by comparison in the cleanliness sweepstakes.
Still a pleasant 72F in Alexandria. On to Scotch Plains NJ tomorrow.
