Shifted base of operations today to the Ohana Waikiki East Hotel that's included in our tour package. It isn't far from our one-night-to-recover-from-jet-lag hotel, but is twice the price. I'm not complaining. I got to fly First Class, so I'm not going to second-guess Reggie's hotel choices. We allowed the extra day to get re-oriented and compensate for any potential delays due to weather along the way.
Our tour starts tomorrow. Everyone keeps asking us if we're from Saskatchewan (I think hoping we'll be impressed that they knew and could pronounce it.), only to appear crestfallen when we say no. Apparently a substantial portion of our tour group is from there and are accompanying a local radio personality on the tour. Contest winners perhaps? I'll wager they'll be as happy as we are to be away from the Polar Vortex.
