Our last day in Florence, the ladies went off on a shopping excursion (Gucci et al, don't

you know) while Rick and I made do with a wine tasting course. The owner of the wine shop, (across the street from the Pitti Palace) is a sommelier and gave a fascinating course on Tuscan wines complete with samples from some awfully good ones. We wrapped up in the cellar and weaved off to rendezvous with Lise and Reg at Coco Lezzone restaurant in the heart of Florence. After a great meal, we found our way to the central station and caught a bus home.

Next morning, we bade adieu to Florence and hit the Autostrada to Altopascio for a light lunch in the town square facing the 1645 church, groceries and then to our rented villa outside of town.
