Roman aqueduct NE of Nimes, Le Pont du Gard. Built in 1st century to bring water to Nimes, 40 km away. It was built in 4 years and contains some stones 6'X2'X3'
Can it still carry water? I love the argument with my british friends where they say we pay too much taxes. We have to repave the entire country every 4 years, them, they are driving on roads that the romans built, literally.
Awesome monmuments to Roman engineering! Paul must be in 7th heaven!
