Imagine our surprise , when two armed men in uniform suddenly appeared on our rear deck. After cautiously exchanging greetings, it turned out that someone had called to complain about an alligator leg floating in the canal. I wondered how it could have gotten there and they informed us that people would catch them, cut off the tail to eat (tastes like chicken) and throw the rest away!
