Aaaaand, They're Off!

Dutiful Son Stefan whisked us to the Newark International Airport, Terminal B, Level 3 in 15 minutes and dropped us at the Icelandic Air entry.  We waited patiently for 5 minutes until the Check-in counters opened and filed into the Business Class Line.  Fifteen minutes later, we were checked-in, baggage checked through to Paris, through Security (they weren't interested in Nexus, but had a separate line for Business Class) and strolling towards our gate.  Half an hour, door to door!

At the gate, we were shown into the Lufthansa First Class Lounge (a partner of Icelandic Air, I assume) where a lovely supper awaited us, with complementary beverages.   I started sampling the European wines immediately.  Since we had carefully allowed the recommended three hours prior to departure for all of this, we have 2 1/2 hours to relax, read and sample even more wine.

Then it's Reykjavik for a fresh plane and on to Paris for a 1PM tomorrow landing.
