On to the Cruise

Spent a quiet morning exploring a nearby park, taxied to the pick-up point at a downtown hotel and were bussed from there to our brand-new cruise ship.  Built for the river and canals, the ship (the Avalon Panorama) is shiny new, narrow and 900 feet long.  After a welcome-aboard drink with the captain, a lovely supper was served in the dining room and we turned in for the night.

Crosswalk in Amsterdam, note separate lanes and lights for bikes, cars and trams.

  1. Wow! - Very nice stateroom!

Let the adventure begin. Enjoy, good people.

Nice here - gorgeous summer weather. Biked from Lee's place down to old Montreal and back on Tuesday - it was a long day for my old knees, but lots of fun and I felt like a tourist, discovering lots of new bars, restaurants and bistros!

Second telephone interview with an airborne survey company coming up tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

    Enjoy!

    Cheers,
